Precautions for use

  • Each product is designed for winter sports and should not be used for any other purposes.
  • Please understand that winter sports involve risks and that we cannot guarantee complete safety under all circumstances.
  • Each product is a sporting item, and is used dynamically by people. Please understand that the characteristics of the product are different from home appliances used in a static environment, and that damage or malfunction may not necessarily be proportional to the number of times it is used.
  • Please be careful not to insert the tail of your skis or snowboard into the snow as this may cause the tail to break.
  • Installation and adjustment of alpine ski bindings should be done by an SBB-certified maintenance technician or by a retailer who has attended a training course in accordance with ISO11088 (JIS S7028).
  • Always skate at a speed that you can control.
  • Try to avoid stopping on the slopes wherever possible, and if you do stop, try to do so at the edge of the slope.
  • While on the lift, please do not shake the carrier or bang your skis together to remove snow.
  • Do not tow the vehicle using a snowmobile, etc.
  • Do not use the ski body as a shovel.

 Maintenance and storage precautions

  • Do not disassemble or modify the product.
  • To remove dirt, wipe with a cloth dampened in water or a soft sponge.
  • Do not use commercially available detergents (varies by product), benzine, thinner, or other solvents to remove dirt.
  • If you are storing the skis for a long period of time, remove any dirt or moisture, and store them in a dry place away from direct sunlight and with little temperature change. In that case, if you secure the skis with ski bands or packing tape, they may discolor. (Storing the skis with wax applied will reduce deterioration of the sliding surface.)
  • If there is rust on the edges, remove it with sandpaper or similar, then apply an anti-rust coating before storing.
  • If you make any adjustments to your bindings (position, forward pressure, release value, etc.) you do so at your own risk.
  • Please regularly inspect all winter sports products before use. If you notice any discoloration or damage, please contact us or an authorized dealer immediately.
  • If the soles of your ski boots become worn down by walking on concrete or asphalt, the bindings may not release properly.
  • Do not disassemble, deform or modify the product.
  • Do not hold the edges with bare hands as this may cause cuts or unexpected injuries.
  • Placing the product in a high temperature location or near a heat source (such as a stove or a car muffler) may accelerate deterioration of the deformation material.
  • We recommend that you take out voluntary comprehensive sports insurance for skiing, snowboarding, etc.
  • Products that use plastic may become discoloured over time.

Precautions for enjoying winter sports safely

  • When participating in winter sports, be sure to stay in good physical condition and refrain from skiing if you are tired, have been drinking alcohol, or are taking medication.
  • While on the course, please be aware of various hazards such as contact with other skiers, weather, and obstacles.
  • Please be sure to follow all warnings and instructions given at ski resorts and parks.
  • We recommend wearing gloves, a hat, goggles, a helmet, and other protective gear when skiing.
  • Please note that discoloration of the coating over long periods of use is unavoidable due to current manufacturing technology.
